The law on family leave enters into force on 1 August 2022.
The service has new absence types Pregnancy leave, Parental leave, and Family care leave. Older absence types maternity leave, paternity leave and parental leave will remain in the service and are available for overlapping use with the new absence types. The older parental leave is renamed to "Parental leave (pre-reform)".
New absence types have been published in the service on 18.6.2022.
What measures are required from customers?
If absence import is used, the new absence types must be configured so that they have the correct codes in reflection to the external system. Settings are configured in Worktime -> Administration -> Working community settings -> External services -> Sympa/Event import #1/2/3 - Absence type codes.
Absence import may have been configured for example in the following ways:
- Sympa -> configure new absence type codes, link to guidance
- Event import #1-3 -> configure new absence type codes, link to guidance
- API-import -> configure new absence type codes in the external system
- Absences are recorded manually to Nepton -> take the new absence types in to use, link to guidance
New absence type codes can be found in Worktime -> Administration -> Working community settings -> Work hours -> Absence types - column Identifier.
Absence exports to salary systems are tailored per customer and because of that there are no common instructions for configuring them to use the new absence type codes.
