Effective 1.9.2023, personal identity codes are being reformed by the Digital and population data services agency. The reform requires new intermediate characters as indicated below:
- For those born in or after 2000, the current A or the new B, C, D, E, F.
- For those born in the 20th century, the current hyphen (-) or the new letters Y, X, W, V, U.
Personal identity codes that have already been issued will remain unchanged.
Nepton has enabled new intermediate characters in the personal identification code field.
Nepton allows different character strings to be saved but gives a warning/notification about a potentially incorrect format. If the personal identity code itself is correct, this warning can be ignored.
