- The backlog of offline records, integrations, and other automations, has been fully processed.
- Mon. 24.10.2022 14:12 - Service is available. We are still processing automated import and export integrations from backlog. You might be facing slowness in the service time to time.
- Data has been restored from a backup made on Wednesday 19.10. at 9:15 p.m. Entries and changes made to the service after that time are not in the service, and therefore users must unfortunately be asked to make the entries again.

The problem situation started in connection with the normal maintenance of the data center storage solution and backup equipment, and concerned the equipment. It was not malware or a data breach, so the personal information and other critical data of customers and service users has not been threatened.

The storage solutions in our server center are organized by the world's leading provider of data center storage solutions. According to experts, similar completely unexpected failure situations are very exceptional. The disruption was massive, and the data stored in the storage solution was lost. International team of experts immediately started working to solve the problem.

The service is out of order until Monday morning. During the disruption, we have worked closely with storage provider's experts to restore data.

Due to the exceptional nature of the disturbance, we unfortunately cannot use the last-minute saved information of the disk system or its backup points, but the services are restored from a secondary backup solution.

The system data will be restored from the backup that was saved on Wednesday 19.10. at 9:15 p.m. Entries and changes made to the service after this time are not in the service, and therefore users must unfortunately be asked to make the entries again.

We are starting to bring services to production. We have been working with the provider of data storage provider. Because of the unusual incident we are unable to use the data stored on the storage or it's recovery points. We will return services from secondary backups. Services are brought back online during this evening and early hours of tomorrow. We will inform about this more in later updates.

- Sat 22.10.2022 11:24 - Actions to solve the downtime
- Nepton service is temporarily down. We are sorry for the inconvenience and are working with our data storage solution provider to get services up again.
- On Thursday at 15:30 storage supplier performed normal maintenance for the solution. During this maintenance the fault-tolerant storage solution alongside with it's backup devices unexpectedly stopped working. The data saved for the solution were no longer available. According to the storage supplier, this is the first time they have seen this kind of totally unexpected situation. This is a major issue. International team of specialists started to work immediately to remedy the solution. They are working on the solution at this moment.
- To recover the services the data integrity on the data storage solution must be checked. This integrity check was launched quickly on Thursday, right after the incident happened. It is difficult to estimate the duration of the inspection, because the tool that ensures the integrity of the data does not produce accurate estimates of the remaining duration of the inspection work. We have acted based on the instructions from storage supplier and are waiting for this data integrity check to complete.
- Fri 21.10.2022 15:10 - Recovery from data center fault continues. Working closely with vendor crisis teams, faulty hardware has been identified and replaced. We are now validating and synchronizing all data to ensure consistency and integrity. This is a slow process and it is very difficult to give completion time estimates, but it is proceeding smoothly. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Nepton will be available again today, but we will work around the clock until it is, and will keep you informed.
- Fri 21.10.2022 11:10 - Recovery continues, but it is now clear that Nepton will not be available until after noon today. We apologize for this exceptional disruption and will continue to update you on all developments here. A full statement will be issued later, but we wish to assure customers that this event has not been a risk to data security or privacy.
- Fri 21.10.2022 07:10 - Bringing Nepton online again is taking longer than expected. We are working with our data center hardware providers to resume normal operations as soon as possible. The latest estimate is that services will become available by 12:00 today.
- Thu 20.10.2022 22:22 - The issue been resolved and services are being gradually brought back online. This will take some time, but we expect services to return to normal during the night.

- Wed 3.8.2022 22:00 - We have confirmed from our logs that normal operation of the Microsoft login has resumed.
- Although Nepton had complied with all recommended changes for the tightening of Microsoft Azure AD security posture during 2021, additional unexpected changes were made by Microsoft at the beginning of August 2022. We have now made the necessary adjustments and normal operation of the Microsoft login has resumed.
- Wed 3.8.2022 19:30 - The root cause has been identified and a fix will be applied today at approximately 22:00. The Service log has been improved to provide more details in the case of this kind of login problems.
- Wed 3.8.2022 13:00 - At this time most users are able to log in as usual again.
- There are still occasional failures with Microsoft logins for some customers.
- Users can continue to log in with Nepton username and password instead of using Microsoft login (Read more here)
- After 18:00 today we will update the platform with extra logging that will help us isolate the problem and develop a solution.
- We apologise for the continued disruption. We are doing our best to minimise impact to you.

- Some Nepton Touch terminals had been updated to daylight saving time and had the wrong time, which affected recordings in offline mode.
- This only affected Nepton Touch devices, other terminals operated normally. Incorrect recordings that resulted from this time issue were corrected by the service provider on March 29, 2021.
